[31:6]  1 tn Heb “the ones who observe vain things of falsehood.” See Jonah 2:9.

[41:7]  2 tn Heb “together against me they whisper, all those who hate me.” The Hitpael of לָחַשׁ (lakhash) refers here to whispering to one another (see 2 Sam 12:19).

[106:41]  3 tn Heb “gave them into the hand of.”

[118:7]  4 tn Heb “for me.”

[118:7]  5 tn Heb “among my helpers.” The preposition may indicate identity here, while the plural may be one of majesty or respect.

[119:113]  6 tn Heb “divided ones.” The word occurs only here; it appears to be derived from a verbal root, attested in Arabic, meaning “to split” (see HALOT 762 s.v. *סֵעֵף). Since the psalmist is emphasizing his unswerving allegiance to God and his law, the term probably refers to those who lack such loyalty. The translation is similar to that suggested by L. C. Allen, Psalms 101-150 (WBC), 131.
